2002 – 2005 | Advisor at Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII) * JIII is a public association, and an Advisor gives legal advice to the members of JIII on intellectual property. |
2004 – 2007 | Professor on the subject of civil advocacy practice at the Judicial Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan * Every person who passed the Judicial Examination has to go through training at the Institute before he/she becomes a judge, prosecutor or attorney, with some exceptions. |
2008 – 2009 | Member of a sub-committee of the Council of the Judicial System under the Ministry of Justice * The sub-committee was organized purposed to submit an opinion whether the legal maturity age of 20 in Japan was appropriate. |
He assumes a Statutory Auditor (Company Auditor) at three public companies at present. A Statutory Auditor is an organization under the Companies Law of Japan, who attends important meetings including meetings of directors and supervises the execution of duties by directors.

His practice mainly focuses on providing legal advice to domestic or international companies with respect to a variety of corporate matters. Especially, he has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and drafting contracts and other legal documentation on behalf of major corporate clients or financial institutions in large-scale real estate transactions and various types of complex finance transactions. His expertise also includes M&A, fund/asset management, financial regulation, legal compliance, employment law and other general corporate matters. Since 2013, he has served as an external member of compliance committee at an asset management company of listed Real Estate Investment Corporation.
